Program Summary:
A one-day seminar that will enable women to discuss relevant issues concerning women and power, learn specific influencing strategies and practice influencing skill building in a small group setting. The seminar is presented by Dr. Mary Lou Décosterd and Dr. Jerri Frantzve and covers the following topics and experiences:
- Definitions, issues and perspectives on women’s power and influence
- A review of the various sources of power, influencing strategies and tactics
- An understanding of power structures in organizations and cultural groups
- Self-assessment and skill building
Target audiences – sessions are arranged by request for groups of 8 or more from:
- Profit and Non-profit Businesses
- Professional Organizations
- Colleges and Universities
- Civic groups
* Additional facilitators will be brought in to assist with groups of 25 or more to preserve small-group dynamic.
